Inspired by the painted walls and block-printed textiles of Rajasthan’s royal palaces, this design arranges flowering vases and blooming sprays in framed panels of fuchsia and blush pink, edged with intricate floral borders in cream, gold and green. Every bloom, leaf and border is drawn by hand, giving the tumbler the feel of a hand-block-printed textile. Elegant, feminine and unmistakably Indian.
Designed motif by motif
Every YldKat tumbler starts as an original illustration by artist Ayantika Sen, not a stock pattern. Each motif is drawn individually, then the design is built up in layers: background textures, borders, fine linework and tiny details that only show up when you look closely. The colours are balanced by hand so the palette stays rich and true, and the artwork is carefully mapped to the shape of the tumbler so the pattern flows all the way around without awkward breaks or a visible seam. A single design can take many hours of drawing, refining and test-fitting before it is ready to print.
